STEM & JOTA Outdoor Adventure

JOTA (or Jamboree On The Air) is traditionally an international event of friendship for Guides and Scouts.
This year we are turning it into a STEM outdoor adventure!
The event will be held in the area around the Historic Psyche Pumps!
We will be having 3 main activity areas;
- Radio Fox Hunting – using radio “sniffers” to find the hidden “foxes” scattered around. Each “fox” will have a problem to solve before you can move on.
- Geocache – use GPS units to find the hidden gem in the surrounding area, unravel the puzzle to find the next location.
- Amatuer Radio – Everybody will get on the radio and have a chat with other operators!
What to bring;
- Uniform!
- Snacks
- Water Bottle
- Wide Brim Hat
- Solid Walking Shoes
- Sunscreen
- $5 cash for Badge & Lunch
We will provide;
- Sausage Sizzle Lunch – Sausages are GF & will bring one load of GF bread.
If BBQ isn’t your style, feel free to bring something else - Water Bottle Refilling Station
